We should recall that the Nigerian Navy has rescheduled the aptitude test for new recruits nationwide.

The exercise which originally was scheduled to hold on October 7, 2017 has been rescheduled to hold on Saturday, August 12, 2017.

The new date is now Saturday, August 12, 2017.

However, Shortlisted candidates are instructed to report at their various centres across the states of the federation on Saturday August 12, 2017 by 8:00 am.

The Navy spokesman, Captain Suleiman Dahun, in his statement, requested candidates to come to the designated examination centres with copies of their online completed forms.

Names of successful candidates in the Aptitude Test will be published online on Monday August 21, 2017.

According to him, successful candidates will attend a selection interview from Friday, August 25 to Saturday, September 23, 2017 at the Nigerian Navy Secondary School, Ojo-Lagos.

He however, said that the service regrets any inconveniences that the sudden change in date may have caused the candidates and the general public.

Nigerian Navy Screening Guidelines

Applicants must come to the recruitment centres with the following documents:

  1. Photocopies of Birth Certificate or Age Declaration.
  2. Photocopies of Credentials.
  3. Acknowledgment Form.
  4. Duly completed identification form to be signed by Chairman or Secretary of the candidate’s LGA or by an officer of the rank of Commander, Chief Superintendent of Police (CSP) or Equivalent and above from candidate’s State of Origin.
  5. Four passport photographs duly signed and stamped by any of the persons mentioned in Sub-Paragraph (c) above.
  6. Candidates are advised to bring the scratch cards of their NECO and WAEC results to the recruitment centres.

Note that the completed application form is to be submitted online. Applicants will be required to produce original of all copies of credentials listed in Paragraph 1 before recruitment.

  • Any applicant suspected to have impersonated, forged or submitted false document(s) shall be disqualified from the recruitment exercise. Such applicant shall also be handed over to the Civil Police for prosecution.
